Action 1:8 is the name given to the Short-Term Missions opportunities with FX Student Ministries.  God has called us to take our faith into action, to go into all the world and share the love of Jesus Christ.  That last command Jesus gave his disciples, before ascending up into heaven, was that they would be his witnesses to the ends of the earth.  Acts 1:8 says (commentary added), "...and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem (community), and in all Judea and Samaria (country), and to the ends of the earth (world)."  At FX, we strongly believe in this mission assigned to Christians by Jesus.  Again this year, 2010, we are hoping to reach all three of those locations.  We will be serving in inner-city Denver (community), heading out to Parsons, Kansas for a work camp (country), and going to Mexico to share the love of Christ through construction, prison ministry, and children's programming (world).  Please take a look around the site and see what each trip has to offer.  If you would like to join us on one of these three opportunities, please fill out the application (found on each missions page) and turn it in immediately.  If going on a trip is not for you this year, then we do ask you to partner with us in prayer.  Oswald Chambers once wrote, "Prayer does not equip us for greater works, but, prayer is the greater work."  Thank you for your prayers!
